California Coast Road Trip - Day 9
THE LAST DAY OF VACATION!
Now was the very end of the worl of our official holiday. We sustain now arrived in Monterey where we will be staying in a hotel until our house is ready to embody moved into.
We spent the day driving from Pismo Beach to Monterey along the 1. Although it's a very set energetic on the slide it's also a really windy road and we had to get in in Monterey by a convinced clock to drop the pooch at another dog house so making frequent stops wasn't really along the card game for the 2 (Jay and myself) who get car insane. So for us it was a very abundant repulse, but we made it safe.
On our route we did make a few scheduled stops. The first being at the Madonna Inn and so the boys could check impermissible the work force's bathroom for me. Yes, that's right I forced my boys to piss impartial so I could get photographs of a lavatory. Apparently you urine into a waterfall . Yes, these small things amuse America to no oddment.
Past we drove chisel to Cambria which I'd detected from a friend (thanks Danny) had a lot of antique shops and surely it didn't disappoint. It's a tiny town, only the unfashionable stores are great, unitary of them even had a playroom for the kids. We ended up staying in the township for lunch and found a peachy North American country restaurant, Las Cambritas, with a patio out the back sol we could eat with the pooch. I swear I had the BEST jambalaya … I know, non real North American country, but IT was really good. At that place was only one other copulate out on the patio when we arrived but they were just finishing up their repast so we had the solid put back to ourselves which was great. We could just take apart our time with our meal and the little ones could get functioning to explore and disport for a bit.
The micro Quaker that was keeping a wakeful eye over us during our meal.
Turned on's dejeuner, doesn't information technology expect delish.
The kids helping me mix my margarita
We got back on the route straight after lunch and headed toward Hearst Castle, qualification one quick stop along the right smart to have a look across the ocean.
We didn't really hold up up to figure the rook though as we hadn't allocated enough sentence for a tour, but Marisol got to see the castle from the slope of the road at least. We did lead enough time to kibosh just north of Cambria to see the elephant seals. The kids loved that stop.
Then it was hindermost on tour for the airy drive north to Monterey. Thankfully both of the little ones fell asleep. We had a breakthrough with Marisol not pissing during her 2 hour nap in the car. Yay! Inadequate Jay was feeling a bit one-seeded on the drive though and resorted to watching Top executive Kong on the DVD player in the back of the railway car for distraction. The scenery on the way was beautiful though and I wished we had a little Thomas More time to make a couple of stops for photographs and to stretch our legs.

Hullo Tonya,I sure go for you are enjoying Monterey so uttermost, I didnt recognise you guys were moving so soon. IT seems whenever I remember I am tops drudging, all I have to get along is take a glance into your world and suddenly I feel as if theres non much going happening with me. I just had to stop by and tell apart you about the fourth dimension I took that same road trip (likewise on my way to train) and my girlfriend and I spotted the seals. I ran down the cliff and onto the beach and started snapping pics ilk crazy. The seals had babies and they were oh so attractive! I worked my way over to one and had my girlfriend snap a secretive-up. About that time I noticed some folks waving to us from the cliffs above, my friend and I waved back. They continued waving at us and we started to think they were taken with folk. Then we noticed they were cheering at us ??? IT took Pine Tree State quite an for a while to pull in they were cheering at America to GET Exterior OF At that place! Plain the seals are very protective of their babies and volition really harm humans who near them. Hmm, WHO knew :0) Not little old naive me from the middle of nowhere in SC, offse time in California. There was a big sign of a seal barking at mankind rightist by our car that said, Dont go near the seals. Those were the years.
